Suit Direct has launched a limited-edition Ted Baker collection inspired by the Netflix series The Gentlemen. The six-piece line draws from the show’s British country estates aesthetic, featuring autumnal jewel tones and earthy shades. Nicola Barker at Suit Direct describes the collaboration as a natural fit, citing shared British heritage between the brand and the series. She says: “In that respect, it was an easy decision and I’m really proud of what we have created.”
Inspired by British Heritage and Style
The collection highlights the contrast between refinement and the criminal underworld depicted in the show, achieved through premium fabrics and sophisticated design elements like wide lapels. Hidden details such as printed Melton under collars and internal linings featuring tigers and boxing gloves nod to the series’ motifs. Tweed pieces reinforce the aristocratic British sensibility, aligning with Ted Baker’s reputation for wit and meticulous attention to detail. Barker notes the line targets the modern man seeking personality in tailoring, combining expected quality with a distinctive flair.
Barker also stresses that successful collaborations must authentically reflect both brands. She argues that the storytelling of The Gentlemen harmonizes with Ted Baker’s identity, ensuring the collection resonates without diluting brand integrity. This approach, she believes, allows the line to appeal beyond superfans, celebrating British heritage in a way that feels accessible and culturally relevant.

Retail Strategy and Customer Engagement
Suit Direct partnered with Selfridges for a limited-time pop-up, positioning the experience as a luxury retail opportunity that aligns with Ted Baker’s premium image. “Real-world experiences are hugely important,” Barker explains, noting that such activations enhance relatability while offering customers exclusivity. The pop-up, she adds, bridges the fictional world of the series with tangible fashion, allowing wearers to embody the show’s aesthetic.
Alongside the pop-up, Ted Baker introduced its Tailored concept store at 155 Fenchurch Street in London’s City. The new collection is available there, a select number of Suit Direct stores, and online at suitdirect.co.uk.
