Phizz, the leading UK brand in the wellbeing market, has rolled out its largest travel‑focused marketing effort to date, running throughout August across the country’s busiest transport hubs.
Campaign reaches millions of commuters
The out‑of‑home (OOH) activation, built around the slogan “When travel demands more, add some Phizz,” targets an estimated 38 million travellers. Advertisements appear in rail stations, airports, commuter centres and the London Underground, with additional placements in Glasgow, Manchester and York where the brand’s market share is strong.
By saturating high‑footfall locations, the company aims to ensure that commuters encounter the product multiple times during their journeys. The strategy extends beyond visual media to point‑of‑sale displays at retailers such as Boots, WHSmith Travel and major supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose. This creates a continuous path from awareness to purchase.
Influencer push and retail offers
Complementing the physical presence, the campaign leverages a travel‑focused influencer programme that features more than 130 creators. Paid and organic social content further amplifies the message, linking the brand’s hydration claim to the travel experience.
Phizz is also promoting special pricing through its retail partners. Boots offers a one‑third discount from 15 July to 8 Sept, while Sainsbury’s runs a £5.50 core price and a £6.50 premium option through 1 Sept. Tesco’s Clubcard price of £5.50 is available until 19 Aug, and Waitrose offers the product for £5.50 through the end of September. WHSmith runs a buy‑one‑get‑one‑half deal, and similar promotions are active in Boots Ireland and Tesco Ireland.

Travel hydration matters.
Founder Daniel Cray said, “Travel is one of the moments when people are most conscious of staying hydrated. In fact, when you fly, the airplane cabin becomes nearly twice as dry as the Sahara desert! It was actually when travelling that we uncovered a hydration gap, and the idea for Phizz was born. Rather than relying on a single touchpoint, we’ve built a fully connected campaign that follows people throughout their journey, from stations and airports to social media and into our retail partners. The campaign further supports our ambition to own the travel hydration occasion, which is the perfect opportunity for the brand to connect with consumers.”
The extensive rollout suggests the company is betting on travel as a recurring consumption occasion. If the multi‑channel effort translates into measurable sales uplift, the brand could solidify its position in a niche that blends convenience with health‑focused products.
Success will likely be judged by the ability to convert high‑visibility exposure into sustained purchases across the listed retailers, especially as the summer travel season winds down.
